The obvious answer is when the job gets more complicated.

The job always gets more complicated.  But we rely on the same set of tools to get the job done.

I’m talking figuratively here,  of course.

As you move up the ladder, as you build your business, and the relationships you need to maintain and grow to keep the business moving forward get more complex, and as the sheer number of number of communications you have to give and receive grows, the old way won’t work any more.

You need better ways.  You need better tools.  And unfortunately they usually aren’t in your toolkit.

What delivered the growth, got you noticed, delivered the results before don’t work any more.

What Got You Here Won’t Get You There is the reality and the title of Marshall Goldsmith’s best selling book, which I’ll be reviewing this month and the In-Synk Business Book Review on May 4th.

It addresses how thing change when you get to the top and that what you did to get there don’t work anymore.

If you want to keep the success going, you won’t want to miss this one.
